Bats used to have a normal life. A normal job, though his boss was a little bit... Eccentric, putting it nicely. But nothing could have prepared him for how his life would spiral after that man ran out of that door.
He'd taken up the role of "Mike", unknown to anyone- even his two housemates slash coworkers slash maybe something more, Jon and Pluey. And with that, came particular responsibilities... And knowledge.

Shouldn’t be, but a nagging little thought has been squirming around in the back of his mind lately, blinking in and out like the light above his bathroom mirror. Just a little longer. Me, here, like this—just a little longer. Annoying, really, like an itch that only hurts to scratch. But what’s he supposed to do—not scratch it? When the day’s broadcast goes so well and the new segment he and Tenna implemented goes off without a hitch and the production staff treat him like he’s a god and Tenna invites him out to a celebratory dinner with a smile like that?
