Summary
The East Blue was a destination no one would have expected them to choose. It was also the only place they could go to in order to be safe. The flimsy piece of paper leading Wani flickered in their palm, tugging onward, forward. As if trying to confirm the choice was the right one.
Blue would help. Blue had to help. Wani had to trust the bonds they had forged together in their youth had not sundered throughout the years, even if Wani had not been able to be there for either Blue or Red when Roger died. Even if Whitebeard had denied them any help he could have offered, chained Wani in the brig to make sure they would not go seeking Blue or Red out.
Wani had to hope Blue would believe them they had at least tried.

It was impossible. It should have been impossible unless Dragon was not only a shitty father but also had shitty tastes in women, but the body curled around him, rumbling in something that was half caught between a growl and a purr, felt too much like Luffy for Ace to be able to deny what has happening in front of his own eyes.

The dragon, because it was a dragon no matter how much Ace wanted to say it wasn't, rumbled back at him and yeah that was his little brother. His little brother who was a dragon.
Don't think of the implications Ace.
Who no one could try to kill now because everyone knew what it meant when someone had a dragon shift.
Anyone but Luffy probably.
"GARP!" echoed from somewhere and on this Ace at least could agree with that bastard fleet admiral. If Gramps knew about this he was going to punch him straight in the face.

Okay, this felt familiar. Felt like Marineford two years ago when he had answered that asshole's question without meaning to, but at that time he had been more interested in making sure both Ace and Luffy made it out alive. Not that the brats hadn't giving him enough frights for a lifetime until they did.
Buggy sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He had to test it.
"Anything wrong, clown?" Mihawk asked as he uncorked a bottle of Dreessrosa red wine. Some aged vintage that the former warlord swore by and Buggy personally believed tasted like old socks.
Try a lie.
"Your wine is-" the best I have ever tasted, he wanted to say, but what ended up was. "I don't know how you can drink that vinegar, Hawkeyes. It smells like something died in the barrel and the colour's gone muddy."
Well. Fucking Grandline. Cursed coins it was. And apparently ones who made him tell the truth. He'd simply have to stay as far away from his partners as possible until whatever this was ran its course.

Summary
‘Torao, that’s Ace.’
Lilith had offered a full list of islands from the New World where Dr. Vegapunk’s experiments had been conducted. A nearby marine base had supplied eternal logposes for most of the locations - it seemed the world government had not cared quite as much about the security of those laboratories as they did about Egghead.
They had stormed laboratory after laboratory, searching for information and when all clues seemed to lead to the conclusion that the blueprints were just a theory, they had made sure nothing but rubble would remain of those locations.
Until this island. Until this laboratory. Until this place where his lover told him that he could hear the Voice of hurt-trapped- crying children.
And Law could not say he was ready for whatever they were about to uncover.

Or Law has to deal with a blast from the past in the form of two hurt and frightened children, while Luffy has to come to terms with the fact that the World Government may have hurt his brother yet another time.

Summary
They all gaped at him as Luffy threw his head back and laughed wild and free like the sea itself. All but one of them saw a different man taller older but with a laugh just like the one falling from Luffy’s lips. They’d heard him say it during the war and scoffed but now… now each of them believed it. Ace just watched with a proud smile. He was terrified, no sense in lying about that, but never once did he doubt his little brother’s dream. He was so happy he’d be alive to see it.
