Summary
Arthur doesn’t think about it, because it's a weakness. The knights pat each other on the back, and sometimes they roughhouse for a bit. Arthur is above that, and he only does it when he really wants to cheer up one of his men. That’s initially what he wants to do to Merlin, too, when his idiot of a manservant’s face droops and he can’t quite make his smile meet his eyes. But he doesn’t, because the thought of touching Merlin—his lungs constrict, and there’s no reason for him to be touching Merlin, no excuse that would make it proper.
Touching Merlin would be because Arthur wants to, and he shouldn’t.
Or: Five times Arthur is a touch-deprived mess who really wishes he could touch Merlin without an excuse, and one time he learns he doesn't need one.

Summary
Vash lied. Scars do hurt. Wolfwood's new scar is shiny and bumpy under the scab that he has successfully picked off despite Meryl’s admonishments. He touches it absentmindedly, pressing and scratching at the scar tissue. It’s almost a familiar feeling; running a finger along each phantom stitch feels like tracing rosary beads.
“Wolfie,” Vash cautions, catching him in the act. Wolfwood retracts his hand immediately and wonders when he became so obedient.

Summary
"You mean…" The wicked grin of insurance fraud stretched Wolfwood's lips around the cigarette. "There might be a way for you to finally get some well-deserved cash back outta those Bernadelli bastards, and for me to resolve my current predicament without havin' to sell a kidney or two?"
"Entirely mutually beneficial." Vash smiled angelically. "And really, I think Bernardelli will still turn a profit on me. It's very pricey insurance."
"Ya should really cancel that package."
"And make Milly cry!?" Vash gasped dramatically. "Oh, you monster."Or: a story about contracts (of insurance and of marriage), about jokes (that are perhaps not funny at all), and - of course - about love.

Summary
The song ends. The radio host reads the title of the next one as Wolfwood reaches to pry the bottle away from Vash and take another swig. A piano leads in, the tempo lower and the tone far more sentimental. Wolfwood doesn’t recognize it—but then, he’s never really been one for crooners.
When he slides the bottle back onto the table, he realizes Vash is staring at him blearily, his chin propped up on his knuckles. “What?” he asks, his voice slightly raspy from the liquor. Those blue-green eyes are looking dangerously wistful.
“D’you know, I’ve never danced before.”

Summary
Vash isn't human. There's so much to him that is too much, too different, too weird to be comfortable around people. Humanoid, not human. Slowly, he starts to let Wolfwood see what that means. 5 times Vash showed Wolfwood the ways he wasn't human and 1 time Wolfwood made Vash realize that didn't matter.
Or, Vash is subjected to the mortifying ordeal of being known.
