To Nolan, humans are roughly as weak and insignificant as most other sapient species in the galaxy. They also have an incredibly large amount of strange rituals and customs that he has observed in the decade or so he's been on Earth, and Nolan just can't understand what purpose they serve.

Summary
Cloud been a really good trainee, as far as Zack is concerned. He fights decently and he has a pretty good grip on tactics. Zack really thinks he's good enough to make SOLDIER eventually.
Zack's opinion of Cloud is far higher than Cloud's opinion of Cloud, and Zack really needs a way to try and build Cloud's confidence. Luckily, there's a weird, slightly risque ritual some of the guys came up with a few years ago with the intent to help with that.

So here he was, all alone on Earth’s lone moon, no one to reach him for a couple hundred thousand miles. He’d come all the way up here to bask in the beauty of the Earth and space, and it was only somewhat helping him think. Just looking back on what had happened was difficult; it felt like a decade’s worth of events condensed into a hundred hours or so. How hard was looking forward going to be?
“Moment of truth, Mark,” he mouthed to himself, “How are you feeling?”

Summary
Historically, a very slim percentage of people around the world hit puberty and become Goliaths, massive men and women twice the height of normal humans with the proportional strength to match. Reactions to them have varied by region, ranging from awe and adoration to fear and mistrust.
As a young Goliath, the last ten years haven’t been the kindest to Ryunosuke Naruhudou, as he’s struggled to overcome the perceptions around his size. The result is a thoughtful, yet anxious young man with legs longer than some people are tall, who ducks under every doorway and regularly tries to make himself seem smaller. As he nears twenty-three years of age, he throws himself into his studies at university, hoping that being well-spoken will help him become less isolated.
However, the repercussions of an old conspiracy from halfway across the globe are on the verge of pulling him in, and through this adversity he will meet a new group of people intent on teaching him not to hold himself back.
It starts with a star student coming to him for English help.
