How can he say that, when Vegas fucked him in the safehouse, he carved out his heart, and now it belongs to him, that he’s just a loyal lap dog, following his owner? He’s like the dog at the station in Shibuya, the dog at the graveyard in Edinburgh, waiting and waiting for his master to return.
“Because he needed somebody,” is how Pete manages to sum it up. But really, he needs Vegas as much as Vegas needs him, maybe even more so.

His breath picked up alongside Pete’s. “I miss your hands, Vegas, I miss them on me, I miss your mouth, I can just imagine you licking along every inch of my body, hnng, Vegas,” Pete moaned.

Summary
It had been a couple months since they had broken up, several weeks since Santa had told Perth through choked sobs that he thought it would be best if they went their separate ways. They had been strained the last couple months of their relationship, with schedules so packed that it was hard to find any time to properly be with one another. They tried for months to make it work, but between Santa’s projects with JASP.ER and the new producing gig Perth had taken on, the magic of their relationship fizzled out, leaving them to argue with one another constantly over stupid shit that didn’t matter.
It ripped Santa apart slowly, chipping away at him bit by bit until he rashly decided to end things in a moment of weakness.
Even now, he still beats himself up about it. Even now, he can’t get over Perth.
It doesn’t help that Perth isn’t over him, either.
OR Santa and Perth make up on a trip to Phuket with their friends.

Summary
Phuwin smiles in Perth’s direction, pinching his index finger and thumb together in some weird gesture that has Fourth shooting out of his chair excitedly, nearly knocking over an abandoned drink in the process as he praises Phuwin for being such a good friend. The whole situation is so confusing that Santa can only draw his eyebrows together in thought, trying to decipher what this weird interaction could possibly mean because his mind is drawing a blank. Maybe he really is drunk.
Perth pats him on the thigh then, bringing his mouth so close to Santa’s ear that he can feel his lips ghosting against the shell.
“Ready for the afterparty, Ta?”

Pete swallows painfully, when his hand twitches, waiting for the rattling sound of chains but there is only silence. He doesn’t know if he’s relieved or disappointed.
To be honest, he isn’t holding a grudge against Vegas for catching and torturing him; it was something that the main family would do as well to someone who would try to infiltrate them. That’s how this business works, there is no place for traitors and moles. Pete knew what he was getting into when he went to find evidence against Vegas. He knew that he could be imprisoned, tortured and killed, fuck, he knew exactly what Vegas was capable of and he still went.
But he hates Vegas for making him like it. It’s all his fault. He did something to Pete to make him like it so much. He shouldn’t have enjoyed it. It was wrong.
