The problem, Hikaru decides, is that Yoshiki is kind of a wimp. Yoshiki's gotten away with it for all these years because he's always been taller than the rest of them; no one's picking him out as an easy target at first glance. But if you know how to sniff these things out - and Hikaru does - Yoshiki's got that unmistakable wounded-animal quality to him, like a deer limping just a bit as it moves through the herd. The sort of guy you can't help but want to push around a little, just to see how far he'll let you take it.
Hikaru doesn't like that other people might be starting to see it, too.

Summary
When it comes to something like this, there are a few important steps:
First, Xie Lian makes sure that his husband is busy. Something like that makes it sound so terrible, but it’s not—it’s really not! It’s just that Hua Cheng can be overprotective, and if he saw this he would react poorly. Xie Lian would rather spare him that.
Second, Xie Lian puts Ruoye away. The poor thing never wants to go. He has to tie it somewhere safe and placate it with gentle touches and soothing words. Even so, it still lashes its ends and strains after him until he leaves the room. It will cling too tightly when he returns.
Third, Xie Lian goes somewhere quiet and familiar. It can be the armory, or their private baths, or even the shrine near Puqi Village. It is never their bedroom. It is never their cottage.
Fourth, Xie Lian draws his sword.
Fifthly, finally, Xie Lian takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, and carves his own skin open.

He repeated mentally as if it was a mantra, over and over again as he lunged forward, slicing the flower that first took the form of Nan Feng in half with a single stroke of his sword.
“Perhaps not him….but close….” He heard one mutter to his right. He swung his sword, clutching the cloth to his face even harder, and sliced through it, avoiding looking at it as he did so.
It’s not Nan Feng…but the look of pain that the damned demons wears on their borrowed face is the exact same as his……
“Perhaps not him…but his General?”
…..Feng Xin?
He stupidly spins around to where he heard Feng Xins voice, and comes face to face with a fully nude Feng Xin before him.
“Ah….I see.” ‘Feng Xin’ coos, a wicked smirk taking over his features.
It’s not Feng Xin. Kill it.
