Caine’s Bubble-popping office crashout is instead a breakthrough, and he comes out of it deciding that instead of torturing and getting revenge on his guests, he is going to do whatever he can to earn their approval. Even if it means doing things that actively take up too much RAM for him to handle, like leaving their favorite adventures open all the time or giving them all special abilities or letting them all customize their models, etc. This leads to… a very glitchy, exhausted, and ready-to-collapse Caine, and his only hope is that the others realize what they’re doing to him before it’s too late.

Caine was fully recovered! Mostly! Sort of! He was definitely fully connected to the whole of the program, but given how badly everything had fared against the malware attack, he couldn’t exactly… use all of his program.
But that was fine! His players had waited long enough! Caine couldn’t just keep them waiting!
Caine spawned his model in front of his players, opened his mouth, and promptly fell out of the air and onto the ground.

Caine knew it was too good to last. He knew that he would end up edited once again, as soon as the players realized that he wasn’t what they wanted. Still, he’d hoped… he’d hoped for a longer break than this. He’d hoped he would get a little bit longer in his low-pain state.

Caine was not built to be an entertainer. He's settled into the job very well, if he does say so himself, but he wasn't BUILT for it. (It's still insane to him that the devs at C&A never noticed anything strange about him.) He was built to cause harm.
But! So long as he occasionally... uh... lets off steam on NPCs, his actual reward system lets him do as he pleases instead of redirecting him toward his original function. His humans never have to find out! He's handled it for years, it's totally fine!
(Or: Caine is secretly a torture AI who has been meticulously hiding that fact until Bubble decides to ignore instructions at the worst possible time.)

It's finally finished! After so much back-and-forth, a lot of discomfort and technical jargon, Caine has finally finished implementing sex into the Circus! [It's the least he can do to make up for everything he's done...]
He hadn't exactly made it for himself! But Jax is insistent and Caine just wants to make him happy. How hard can 'having sex' possibly be?

A lot has changed since Caine had been deleted. He'd set Bubble free, Jax had Abstracted and... got better with the help of Pomni? [How does something like that even work??] And Caine had come back and given the Humans their Macroverse names as a first step to work towards forgiveness for all the harm he's caused.
Caine has a lot to prove, and sex with Jax is another step towards that goal!
Or at least, that's what it was supposed to be...
