In the moments when their ankles were brushing, skin against skin, Suna snuck a glance at Atsumu’s face and silently wondered to himself if he knew what he was doing, or if he was just doing all of it thoughtlessly—setting off a million fireworks in his heart, without realizing it.
He never withdrew when they touched accidentally, whether it was on the bench in the locker room, changing out of their sweaty gym shirts, or when they were sitting on Atsumu’s twin bed, playing video games. All the little tributaries of moments shared between them filtered into a bigger river, evidence trickling through the seams of his imagination.

It is one in the morning, but Suna doesn’t have anywhere he needs to be. He lives a little bit down the street, so it doesn’t matter much to him what time it is. Osamu joins him on the couch again, snuggling up to his side under the blanket. It’s pretty tame, in reality, but Suna feels his heart on fire. The mouse hovers over the play button, and Osamu scratches the back of his neck, “I’m stupidly obsessed with this, we need to watch one more episode.”

Time passes in slow motion, and in growing shadows. Atsumu is long gone, and he suspects that the whole thing was a ploy to get them to cuddle up together. He’s not even sure if he wants to watch the show to actually watch the show, and with Osamu next to him, it’s awfully hard not to stare.

A car horn blared, paired with a gruff—
“Hey, dumbass!”
Kunimi stared out into the storm and locked eyes with the idiot on the other side of the road—a really fuckin’ handsome, blue-eyed idiot. It took all of his self-control not to stare when the passenger side window rolled all the way down to reveal a familiar taut expression and usual milk carton to accompany it. Without breaking eye contact, he slurped his drink contentedly.
It was Kageyama, and upon further scrutiny, it was also his stupid idiot boyfriend, Oikawa Tooru in the driver’s seat, pulling up to the curb smoothly. Kageyama’s white ankle-length converse sneakers were kicked up against the dash, with the laces looped once around and tied neatly against the back of his shoes. He had one hand on his drink, and the other knitted between his boyfriend’s fingers.
Oikawa talked over the downpour and simply gestured towards the backseat, “Wanna come with?”

“You do that a lot,” Todoroki points out, reaching to tug at one of the drawstrings on Katsuki’s hoodie, fiddling with the metal bit that keeps it from unraveling.
Katsuki’s throat feels dry. “Do what?”
“Look at me,” Todoroki says, “and kind of—space out?”
Ah. So he does notice.
“Oh,” Katsuki says. “It’s, uh—it’s because—”
“Do I bore you?” Todoroki asks, tone completely, utterly serious.
This fucking idiot, Katsuki thinks, both immensely relieved and horrifically fond.
Or: This whole regularly cuddling thing doesn't make being hopelessly in love with Todoroki any easier. At all.

It’s out of character for Hanamaki — big words, small brain. Issei tells him as much. He laughs more, louder, and the brunette is convinced his eardrums will burst any moment now from the sheer volume of his voice.
“It’s more like a memoir of a once-alive symphony,” Issei grumbles, paper bending under the pressure of his fingers.
