Summary
Waking up confused and disoriented should, frankly, be something I’m used to by now.
Something is different this time, though. For one, I am not as tired as I should be. A scary idea crosses my mind. Sometimes, when a person or an animal is very close to dying, they suddenly regain a lot of their energy. Something about the body giving up on trying to keep itself alive and being able to use that power on something else, albeit briefly.
I am pulled from that slowly spiraling line of thought by a sudden realization. I remember this room. And not in a “right, yes, this is where I am” way. I remember this room and I’m fairly certain I’ve finally lost it because this room should be about 16 light years away from me.
I’m back on Stratt’s Vat.

Rocky and Grace have nearly arrived at the Blip A, from their little trip over at Adrian. But before they can reach Rocky’s ship, they’re caught in a powerful field of unknown energy. They make it out on the other side without more than a panic attack, but something here feels off.
Blip A shows up on their radar, but it doesn’t look as it should. Instead of the usual geometric shape of one, it’s two ships, connected to each other through a tunnel.
And one of them says “Hail Mary” along the side of its hull.

In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.
