Summary
Frank has struggled with addiction ever since his mom started chemo. When she went into remission, he moved in with his friend Ray, and things went off the rails. He's feeling sorry for himself when he meets a mysterious stranger at a bar. Leading a dangerous lifestyle, he tries to keep to himself- but Gerard is not an easy man to hide from. Once he learns of the dark situations Frank has gotten himself into, he takes on trying to help him clean up with the assistance of Ray. Everything about Frank's submissive personality suits Gerard's dominant side- but maybe they're just swapping one addiction for another. It's clear that helping Frank is going to take everything Gerard can offer, he just has to hope it will be enough.

Frank’s grin widened, his pulse kicking at the base of his throat. “we both know that’s not true.” his voice dropped to a rasp, every word trembling with the weight of it as he ducked in close, his breath brushing hot against the shell of their ear. “Mommy.”
the word fell out of him like it had been torn from someplace deep, someplace hidden. his chest tightened immediately, heat rushing up his neck as though saying it aloud had stripped him bare in the middle of the crowded bar. but Gerard’s sharp intake of breath, the way their lips parted just slightly, told him he hadn’t imagined the effect.

Of course they're breezing into Vegas with the very same goal: To Look At Art.
Will they ever get to the galleries and card tables, slot machines and stage shows?

Summary
Frank Iero is a werewolf--a Were, to be specific. He was born into a line of pack alphas, but for the most part, he feels like a normal human. Sure, he changes into a grey wolf during the full moon. But he wants more for himself than a life following in his overbearing father's footsteps. So he runs away from the pack. It's not so bad, living with his grandmother in an idyllic mountain town. He spends time making plans to leave town for good, while helping her run her shop and manage her vacation rentals.
Everything is going fine until his first full moon away from 'home.' Running as a lone wolf is different from running with a pack, and he learns that the hard way when he's hit by a car. That's not even the worst of it. The real trouble is the driver, a young author from the city, who changes everything in Frank's life for good that fateful night.
Weres mate for life. It's a sort of 'at first sight' kind of connection that has little rhyme or reason, so far as Frank can tell. Bonding with a human was the last thing he expected for himself and his future. It's certainly the last thing the pack expected of their alpha's heir, and they'll do anything to keep their lycanthropic secret from reaching humankind.

Frank Iero is a piece of shit, low life criminal - self proclaimed. The last time he went to church was Catholic school, and the only reason he found himself in the confessional booth of Sacred Heart that rainy night was a deal gone sour that forced him to find a place to hide and quick.
