Jesper didn’t know when he became a regular house guest, but the lovely Bengal cat that perched on his windowsill made himself right at home.
He didn’t bother Jesper at first. He watched from behind the fence as Jesper fed the chickens in their pen, or lay below his feet as he milked the cows in the barn.
He was a curious thing, tentative, as most cats were, but sweet nonetheless. -

Summary
Wylan hadn’t realized that they get fast at night. Really, really fast.
He peeped through the tiny window at the back , ever grateful to have found somewhere to sleep that isn’t with those things. He’ll think about managing to get out in the morning when the time comes.
A monstrous, decayed limb flayed wildly towards the rickety shed and rattled the old shelving along the walls.
Where did Nina go? He thought solemnly as he sat on the floor, images of having to find her in the morning torn to bits - or worse, sludging around like the rest of those things, flooded his mind and clouded his thoughts. They had separated to scavenge any houses for supplies, Nina to the basement and Wylan to the shed.
OR
Wylan and Jesper in the zombie apocalypse because it's like my favourite au ever.

“If you get out there while you’re drugged there’s no telling what you’ll do,” Wylan said, pushing past Kaz to get back to his work station. “I’d think you'd want to avoid pulling the Dregs into this gang war.” He yanked a cabinet open and rummaged around for a pipette. Opened the vial. Drew out a drop. In his head he ran through the motions of the synthesis: he’d gotten close, before, with the blood sample. All he had to do now was see it through to the finish.
“I know that.” Kaz’s voice was nearly a snarl, but then again it always sounded like that. There was still time. “I mean, why didn’t you lock it from the outside?”
“Like that would stop you," Wylan scoffed. "You need an antidote. You said the others were dead within the hour.”
“Only after killing everyone in their vicinity, Merchling, did you forget that part?”

Tighnari felt like the god could see right through him, as if he were glass, and the other could judge every single decision he’d ever made.
A re-imagined tale of Hades and Persephone, retold through the lens of Tighnari, a young godling with a fondness for flowers who stumbles his way into the Underworld and finds himself face to face with the Lord of the Dead himself. Tighnari seeks reprieve from all that his mother wishes upon him, and the Underworld begins to offer him so many more comforts than he would've hoped for.
