Summary
Donnie collided with Leo in a tangle of limbs. There was an instinctive cling in return from his twin, before the realization sunk in.
"No." Leo breathed in his ear, immediately shattered. "No, no, no, no, no!”
Every muscle in Donnie's body was shaking like an earthquake from the amount of effort he'd just expended. The explosion caught up to them, sending the twins spiralling away into space and debris.
For one singular moment, Donnie allowed himself a burst of victory. His heart was still thudding a thousand miles an hour in his chest, having been absolutely terrified he wasn't going to make it in time. But he did. And he held onto Leo, his prize.
Then they hit the ground, the sudden tumble bursting them apart. Donnie felt the world spin, rapid and disorientating, before he slammed into something rock and cracking under his impact.

"Well," Mikey grinned. "A certain someone and I might have done a bit of conspiring," he explained with a shit eating grin, and Leo knew immediately that the gift was from Donnie because Raph’s who is it to? had been entirely genuine. It was probably to Raph, Leo figured as Mikey slid it out into the space in the middle of them, because it was pretty large and Raph was big enough to use something that size.
"Conspiring?" Raph echoed, giving Leo and Donnie a suspicious look.
"Yes, Raph, conspiring. It says... from Donnie," as expected, "to Leo!"

Donnie gives Leo quite the shocking gift: emotional vulnerability!

With a shuddering breath, Mikey pulled his sleeves away, revealing his shaking hands and the mystic scars. They were glowing a tiny bit, and they didn't look as bad. They were healing... finally.
The glow wasn't as bad, thankfully. But they shook. That was a given after a nightmare.
"Nightmares that got worse…" Doctor Feelings chided in worriedly. "You know they'll just keep getting worse if you don't talk with your brothers. You need a healthy way to process your feelings."
As he reached down, he could vaguely hear Doctor Delicate Touch yell at him, something about how this isn't a healthy coping mechanism, while Doctor Feelings gently reminded him he had three brothers he could rely on. He ignored both voices again, and pressed down a painful scar hard, hoping for the relief of physical pain over the emotional one.
It didn't hurt.
Mikey looked at his arm in surprise.

Instead of listening to his own advise and going to his brothers, Michelangelo decided that hurting the mystic scars as a reminder that everything is okay would be better instead.
