Summary
Who would’ve thought that the big bad Red Hood could sing like a Broadway star?
Ever since Jason was young, the theatre and literature were his escape from the pain of his life. His ma would take him to a local theatre all the time, before the drugs really found her. On her worse days, he would sing to her from her favorite musicals like she did for him when he was younger. Alfred encouraged his love for the performing arts by teaching him to sing and act. He dreamt that maybe he could find himself in theatre when he grew up. But if his death, crappy first 23 years of life and a family who didn’t care for him at all, told him anything, was that he couldn’t escape his pain. Until Tim decided to give Jason a chance and now he has the opportunity to start a new life, to move on from his past. Maybe he could finally join the world of theatre like his ma and Alfred would want him to.

Summary
When nine-year-old Matt Murdock comes home DeafBlind, life isn't easy. Jack Murdock doesn’t have training. He doesn’t have answers. (He also doesn't die!)
What he has is calloused hands, stubborn love, and the determination to help his son not only survive, but thrive.
Trading Leather begins a series of vignettes. I’ve gone rogue and am thoroughly AU even from my own canon except for the fact that Matt is still DeafBlind (which is the one thing that seems to be holding my verse together). I started out this thinking it was a prequel to Idle Hands, but that changed pretty quickly.
Yes, Matt and Foggy will eventually end up together romantically. All in due time. I'll change the rating to mature eventually. Right now, the main theme centers around the father-son dynamic. There will have to be a POV switch away from Jack at some point.

It changes everything about who he identifies with, who he wants to grow up to be, and who he thinks he is. Instead of having James Potter as his idol, Lily turns out to be a much better influence.
So instead of seeing a scruffy, most-likely-muggleborn boy standing beside him in Madam Malkin's before their first year, Draco only has eyes for the scarlet-haired, green-eyed creature who just walked into his life.
