Summary
It was on the rare occasion where Yamada was home when Aizawa, his husband; wasn't. Aizawa had taken an extra patrol and wouldn't be home until later in the dark night. (In reality, it would be 30 minutes, but he doesn't know that now does he?) So this left Yamada home with his 5 1/2 years old son Hitoshi; who they recently adopted a few months ago.
Yamada, with the time to relax in bed for once, was finally going to start reading the novel he was lent so long ago. At least, that was what was supposed to happen. He was going to read, Hitoshi was in bed, and his husband was out working. Only 1 of these 3 things was actually going to happen for a small period of time.
Yamada, getting ready to read; was interrupted by the master door being opened. 'There is no way Shouta is supposed to be home by now,' Yamada puzzled. 'Is it... Hitoshi?' The door now opened wider, indeed reveled the small figure of his son.

“Hmmm…” The old master grumbled, narrowing his eyes at Obi-Wan and whacking him in the shin good-naturedly. "Thought about this, I have. Go, you will, to defend Master Skywalker’s fleet.”
Obi-Wan nodded with a smile, almost expecting something of the sort to transpire. It wasn't a show of favoritism, Kenobi himself knew that Master Yoda was more than likely sending him in to control the situation in case it got out of hand which, knowing Anakin, it would. To him, what the Grandmaster was proposing simply made sense.
“Leave immediately, you will, with Master Jarrus.”
...Master Jarrus? Obi-Wan thought, tilting his head in confusion.
“Find him in the gardens, you will.” He told him, changing his body so he could head down a larger hall as his cane tapped lightly against the floor.
...oOo...
After what looks like a fatal crash, Kanan miraculously survives and somehow (by the will of the Force??) winds up in the past. He swears to himself that he's going to fix everything he can and try to stop Order 66 before it even happens.

Summary

Summary
Echo had always been a rule follower. From decantation to Rishi, to the 501st and even once he joined the Bad Batch, order and regulation had been the way Echo had kept his head above water. He knew the regs forward and back, obeyed every command to the letter, and kept his roudier brothers in check. He had even been named for his dedication to obedience.
There is some irony, then, that he surrendered it all, going against an order.

What would have happened if the Kaminoans had ensured their favourite experimental unit would have functioning chips? What if Echo alone did not react to Order 66? What would happen when the rule-worshipping cyborg was forced to choose between obedience and morality?
