Summary
Cody has always heard the whispers on the edges of his mind, the thoughts that flitter through the minds of his brothers which are never voiced aloud. The negativity of the Cuy'Val Dar, the anguish of the Prime, the childish wonder and fear of Boba, the arrogance of the Kaminiise. He learnt at a young age to block the whispers out, to ignore the thoughts, to help those he could in any way that he could without drawing attention to himself. The safety of others, after all, could only be ensured if Cody, himself, remained alive to ensure it.
Cody is telepathic, he always has been. But it turns out that while he can read other people's surface thoughts without really trying (a problem all of its own), he cannot read the minds of Force Sensitives. Somehow, this helps to save the galaxy

“Cody,” Obi-Wan interjected quietly, summoning the last semblance of authority his weakened voice could manage, his blue-gray eyes staring up at him. “You’ve done well—so well—carrying me all this way. But it’s time for you to keep going on your own. You’re hurt, but not nearly as badly as I am. Get to Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rex—”
Cody spat out abruptly but weakly, pressing a hand over his armored chest, where the scorch of the blaster bolt had burned through. “Kark that.”
_________Or Obi-Wan is dying, and Cody, mortally wounded too, sees no point in going on or leaving behind the man he has loved since the war began.

Cody didn’t know why he did it. Maybe he wasn’t thinking straight from blood loss, maybe it had been some kind of instinctive reaction, or maybe he knew he was going to die anyway and he’d always wanted to do it.
As he finally lost consciousness the only thing the Commander could think was “at least I got to kiss him, just once.”
He didn’t expect to get a second chance to go back. Then again, he didn’t really get more than a fleeting hope.
OR: The Father makes a choice about weather or not Cody should die.

Anakin sat in Obi-Wan’s chair at his desk on the Negotiator. He was sat there because Obi-Wan, the man who had preached to Anakin since he was 11 that proper seating was essential for well-written reports, was working from his bed.
Back to the metal wall of the ship that was acting as a headboard, knees up with a standard issue military blanket over them and a data pad propped against his legs.
“You kriffing hypocrite.” Anakin said as he cast a scowl at his old master.
Except, working from his bed isn’t the only thing that makes Obi-Wan a hypocrite.
OR: Anakin has a weird force experience where no one can see or hear him and accidentally discovers that Obi-Wan’s been hiding something from him.

Cody was no longer sat with the handsome stranger, and Obi-Wan glanced around the room for him. He found the Commander stood at an exit, glancing around in search of something himself, the stranger all but pulling him out the door.
His eyes found Obi-Wan’s, and the General realised Cody had been looking for him. The Commander grinned, his gorgeous, gleaming grin and threw Obi-Wan a mock salute and a wink.
OR: Cody goes home with a man he met in the bar, and Obi-Wan has feelings about it.

Satine moved to scroll to the next image when a familiar soft brown caught her eye. She furrowed her brow as she squinted at the screen, trying to zoom in.
It was pixelated and unfocused, but she knew that it was Obi-Wan. She recognised that awful beard. He was smiling at someone, utterly delighted, the corners of his eyes crinkled in happiness. The person he was looking at was obscured but Satine could just about see his fingers twined with someone else’s.
Satine knew that smile. She only ever used to see it looking at her.
Surprising herself, she didn’t feel anything other than fondness. She felt joy. All-consuming joy.
