Summary
Based off of the prompt: Danny becomes that one random civilian casualty. He’s akin to the “my cabbages!” fellow from AtLA.
One-Shot: The Joker stood cackling over a too still body, emptied needle in hand and held in the air. “Too late Batsy!” The monster crowed and kicked the body over with a foot. Black veins spread over the neck, fingers curled toward it as if trying to hold it off. Mouth open in a last gasp.
The Joker had a long stint in the hospital before he was taken back to Arkham.
Batman received a call days later. The boy’s body was gone from the morgue. No one knew what happened. No cameras caught who stole him. He had flashbacks to Jason. Dead then stolen.
He began a new case.
2nd Ch. is A/N asking if you want the one-shot made into a full fic. Thinking about continuing it. Let me know.

Izuku's feet sped up as he got closer and closer to the edge, sprinting towards the future he knew he craved, he needed.
Relief was within arms reach and he-
He dove.
But the wind that tousled his hair didn't last nearly as long as he thought it would. The fall was far too short, and not nearly hard enough.
Izuku opened his eyes, having felt no pain and no darkness enveloping him.
When he looked around, he found himself lying in... something soft?

“Where the hell have you been!?” Inko Midoriya’s voice screeched from down the hall. Izuku had just closed the door behind himself; he hadn’t even taken off his shoes yet. “Answer me, child!”
After he turned four, his parents never used his name anymore. He was ‘child’ or ‘boy’, never Izuku. It was but one more thing Izuku didn’t understand. He knew he had to answer when given a direct order, but it was so hard to force his throat to unclench so he could speak.
“I’m… sorry, Okaasan. The teacher requested help cleaning up after school.” He’d learned to lie at a very young age. If he told her he was walking slowly, she’d make him hurt more. It was easier to tell her something he made up in his head, and hope she didn’t try to verify the information he gave her.
Regardless of the lie, Inko walked over and laid a vicious slap across Izuku’s cheek. He barely flinched, keeping his eyes on the ground in between them.

“I’m sorry, Chisaki-sama.” Izuku knew the words he was supposed to say. He repeated them in his head on auto-pilot all the time, every day. He repeated them aloud like a robot, habitual and monotonous. They didn’t mean anything, but he knew if he didn’t say them there would be consequences.
“Keep the bitch quiet.” The door slammed shut.
Izuku gasped the sterile air of their cell into his lungs. Eri was silently sobbing again, her little shoulders shaking against Izuku’s chest. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head. She was only five. She was so little. Today was Eri’s birthday. She was five today. Izuku’s birthday was last month. He had just turned twenty-one. Chisaki had visited them that day, too.

OR: Izuku was kidnapped by Overhaul 7 years ago to use for quirk experiments. He hasn't left the few small rooms he's been allotted since. Katsuki finds him, finally, after searching for 7 years. Adjusting to the outside world isn't easy.

Izuku’s mind went blank. He felt his shoulders slump and his world go foggy and darker than it had been only a second ago. He had no control of his limbs or any real desire to do anything.
“Izuku - activate your quirk.”
