Between sleepless nights, shared custody agreements, a Horse who switches loyalties (sorry Fiyero), and way too many feelings neither of them signed up for, Elphaba and Fiyero are starting to wonder if maybe—just maybe—they’re not faking the “family” part anymore.

He had said those words before—many times—and she hadn’t challenged them. But now, facing away from him, with so many confessions already spoken tonight, the words slipped out before she could stop them: “I don’t believe you.”
Elphaba doesn't believe she's beautiful. That is so wildly outside of Fiyero's perception of the world it briefly breaks his brainless brain.
