Summary
"No…" the word died in his throat.
He heard the sudden movement of legs rising behind him and then Henry’s voice.
"Hans!"
He had never heard him shout like that.
Hans turned his head at once, desperate, just in time to see him struggling inside the cart while two men held him back.
"Where are you taking him? Hans!"
What happened to Hans while he was held captive in Malesov? What was going through his mind the whole time Henry was busy with dangerous missions? The most important events of KCD2 told from Hans’s POV, focusing on his experiences and thoughts, trying to make sense of that feeling he still does not understand and cannot name. Until we all know what happens in Suchdol.

This is just an a very short fic based on two of the clips from the movie. I haven’t watched it, so no spoilers beyond that. I’m gonna try to keep cannon to everything in the comics, the series, and what we know as cannon from Korra. Everything else is mine to play with!

Summary
Patting his pants for his phone, then growling at the fact that his pockets were empty, Leorio raced back upstairs in record time. His hands shook as he bounced back down, dialing a number that was more familiar than emergency services. He settled beside Kurapika’s body again as the line rang, pressing the back of his hand to his sweaty forehead.
The phone connected, and Leorio was quick to speak before any formalities could be exchanged.
“Cheadle. My house. It’s an emergency.”
“On it.”
The call ended, leaving Leorio with both hands to begin prep work. He hadn’t been religious since childhood, but in that moment, he was pleading to the heavens for any divine intervention to occur.
---
A take on Kurapika returning to Leorio 8 years post-canon.

"This heart beats for you. It will beat twice as much for you, twice as hard, to make up for when you cannot. If you cannot."
He had promised him those words, and lived every day since, sticking to that promise.Nearing eighty years old and on the brink of retirement, Dr. Leorio recalls Kurapika’s homecoming to the Kurta village to bury the Scarlet Eyes after completing his life's mission. Time has blurred the details, but not the feeling left behind.
And some memories, no matter how distant or delicate, refuse to fade.
Because everything reminds him of his dearest friend: from the brightest star in the sky to tea-stained mugs, from yellow wildflower fields to the rustling of pages of old cookbooks. How could he ever let those memories go?
