Summary
The Medusans possess navigation technology beyond the Federation's wildest dreams. Literally. But nonetheless Starfleet wants to make those dreams a reality, risk of going insane in the pursuit be damned. Which means that Captain Kirk and his crew are tasked with ferrying a trio on their way to the Medusan homeworld where a telepathic bonding between a Medusan and a human will help facilitate an expansion of the Federation navigation tech.
