Private Investigator Dean Winchester's had a string of bad luck and even worse cases - and things don’t seem inclined to improve after the East Side Seraphs hire him to track down his old flame, Anna Milton - disappeared under the waves of a demonic-angelic turf war.
Rival demonic, angelic, and monster gangs carve up the City into something near-unlivable for most humans. Dean's got enough to deal with: an old war injury acting up, an ("alleged") addiction to grace, and too many new dangers for a City already drenched in the worst of it. Worse still: all clues seem to point (in bright neon) to Dean and Sam's bloody takedown of Lucifer nearly a year prior.
The City always enjoys pressing its thumb on the scales against Dean Winchester - maybe this time, it's just enough to bury a hard-boiled P.I. under his six feet of topsoil.
