He hadn't necessarily been expecting a week or two of recuperation to turn into a permanent kind of roommates situation, but Rust seems to have no intention of moving out, and Marty has no intention of kicking him out, either, for reasons he can't quite manage to articulate.
Which is to say, Rust has always been kind of prescient-- but Marty might not have guessed just how on the nose his joke about getting engaged was.

Greg climbs the stairs at a slow pace, scratching at his chin and thinking about how he’s going to get Tom to believe that doing waffles for dinner is his own idea. He’s settled on bringing up breakfast and leading into it, when he pokes his head into the doorway – only to immediately, somewhat stumblingly yank himself back out of it.
“Fuck,” Tom groans, breathy and low, barely loud enough to escape the door of his room.
Greg covers his mouth to mute a wheezy breath, setting his head against the wall.
Fuck. Oh, fuck.
Greg peeks back around the jamb, keeping his mouth covered, and confirms that Tom is, in fact, presently jerking off.

Greg blinks because his little Hirsch wet dream would probably feature Tom more prominently than anyone else, but he can’t say that so he just shrugs.
“I’ve never really… Had that kind of… Of interaction? Like an interaction of that persuasion before?” he says
Tom rolls his eyes before they lock back onto Greg seriously. It’s heated and charged and it makes something throb in the pit of Greg’s stomach. He’s missed being the centre of Tom’s attentions, crushed by the weight of his gaze in the best possible way. The moment stretches on for a while, bordering on uncomfortable before Tom slowly inhales, licking his lips before he speaks, “I’ll look after you.”

OR: In an effort to get closer to him, Greg indulges Tom's escalating promiscuous behaviour until they finally reach a point of no return.
