Summary
After he’s been missing for nine days, a rescue squad finds Kakashi and promptly brings him to the hospital. The rest of Team Seven receives orders not to visit him. It turns out that Kakashi was tortured during his solo mission, and the medical-nin fear that he’s too broken – too violent – for visitors right now.
Frustrated about their orders and worried about Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto set out to see for themselves just how broken their sensei really is.

Summary
When a training exercise accidentally lands the freshly-minted Team Seven in the Land of Rain, the stakes of their little practice mission abruptly get a lot higher. Amegakure, paranoid as it is, isn’t all that thrilled to have S-rank foreign shinobi Kakashi of the Sharingan wandering into the country unannounced, after all.
Consequently, Kakashi is taken captive and marched off to Amegakure for interrogation and probably execution. Sakura, mistaken for a fugitive criminal, is taken captive along with him. Sasuke and Naruto are left behind, left to fend for themselves and forced to learn how to work together in order to rescue their teammates.
As they’re transported towards an unpleasant fate in Amegakure, Sakura and Kakashi will have to adapt quickly if they want any chance of escaping. Sakura will have to find her confidence as a shinobi, while she’s surrounded by people who don’t even believe she is one. And Kakashi will have to teach her how to do that, despite how unused he is to his role as a teacher.
The odds are against them in many ways. In spite of that, each member of Team Seven will fight tooth and nail to defend their brand-new teammates’ safety.

When it’s Kakashi’s life that needs saving, though, she can’t bring herself to stand by and do nothing. Even if her efforts won’t determine whether he lives or dies.

Wordlessly, they flick a switch, and the noise is played loud enough for the entire room to hear it.
“Please,” a voice sobs, “Please, it hurts- I'm scared, I just- please, I just want to live. Why doesn't anyone else want that? Why can't I- I want to-” it breaks off into more sobbing and the room practically vibrates with tension.
“That-! That is the language spoken by Engineer Rocky's Grace! That is HUMAN language!”
“Yes.”
“There is a human down there?? That shouldn't be-”
“But there is. What now?”

He focuses on her voice over the pain and rapidly dwindling oxygen. It sounds like she’s walking as she speaks—he can hear her footsteps. She says he’s earned his freedom. More than that, he’s a hero. She tells him it’s a good day: for humanity, for him. He wants to believe her.
The footsteps stop. A moment of silence, and then—“Why isn’t he out yet?”
OR
Simon gets the data. True her word, Ava pulls him out. It’s not necessarily over after that.

Ashley slumps to the side, unconscious, and Luis feels relief as the computer chimes pleasantly, confirming the absence of the parasite. He glances up at Leon, who looks between Luis and Ashley with a faint smile of boyish triumph that Luis can’t help but find endearing.
A split-second later, Leon’s eyes roll up into his head and he collapses, the Kevlar of his vest clicking against the metal grating.

Summary
A collection of short stories about Ryland Grace if he was Deaf. Less a cohesive and linear story told in small pieces, and more a handful of fics all orbiting around one idea.
I'm hearing, and my knowledge of sign language and Deaf culture is limited to what I learned in my classes and my conversations with d/Deaf people. If I made any mistakes or misrepresented anything, please tell me! My goal is to be as accurate as possible and I mean no disrespect.
