Summary
Sunoo clicked his tongue at Jake's clueless face.
“The principals nephew, the son of a top business man, and a regular town kid who’s brother committed suicide last year on these school grounds,” he counted the three names down on his fingers, “all gather in a locked library a few times a week to play chess? You don't think that's weird?"
The mention of one of the boys caught Jake's attention. Enough to almost distract him from the immense detail of Sunoo's story.
“Is this public information or did you find these through sketchy ways again?”
Sunoo hesitated. “Well, nothing’s illegal until you get caught.”
At Easton College, known for a student’s mysterious rooftop suicide, Jake gets involved with four students that lead the school's chess club behind locked doors of the decade old school library and his quiet days unravel as his and another student's past coincidently collide, revealing a dark truth and thrilling feelings.

Summary
Carelessly, he punctures the plastic with his fangs and blood urgently fills his mouth. It’s gone too quickly. The plastic blood bag crinkles in his hand and he throws it bitterly in the kitchen sink, remnants dotting the sink with red.
In the warped image of a dirty spoon, he’s confronted by the reflection of someone that he doesn’t recognize anymore. The taste of blood is suddenly sour, a reminder of everything he wishes he wasn’t. He feels sick with guilt. He knows that he didn’t deserve to be turned, but he’s still so undeserving of this remaining comfort.
“Jake?” A voice gasps, in what was supposed to be an empty apartment.
