On November 2, 1981 Minerva McGonagall does not leave Harry after he is dropped off a Privet Drive. Instead, she stays with him overnight and watches over him during the next few days. By November 4th, she resolves to get him out of Number 4 and turns to someone she knows cares more about the boy than the "Greater Good", Severus Snape, Lily's former best friend. The two kidnap Harry and raise him together. They make political moves, turn Hogwarts into something that resembles real education, and eventually help him defeat Voldemort. Oh, and Draco Malfoy meets Harry when they are 5, declares him to be "his", and that's that!
