What wasn't wrong? Binghe was out of the Abyss two years too early, and the plant bodies weren't ready, and Binghe had never been an omega in PIDW—which meant that whatever revenge scheme he had cooked up was so far outside of the original plot that there was no way for Shen Qingqiu to plan for it.
And then there was the fact that, despite everything, Shen Qingqiu couldn't stop noticing how good Binghe smelled.
In which Binghe is an omega (eventually), and Shen Qingqiu is an alpha (eventually), and they both manage to work things out. Eventually.

Bristling immediately, Liu Qingge draws himself up ramrod straight. “I have no wish to play your games, demon,” he spits. Shen Qingqiu makes some kind of small noise behind his fan, perhaps a laugh or a sound of dismay, and Liu Qingge tries to ignore the way the tips of his ears heat up.
“Actually, Shidi, it was this shixiong’s idea.” Shen Qingqiu uncrosses his legs and sits a little straighter on his throne, which is far more ornate than Luo Binghe’s. The solemn dignity is marred a little by the pile of cushions spilling out from underneath his robes and the bag of melon seeds resting on the arm.
Liu Qingge’s chest aches faintly. This is fairly normal when he’s around Shen Qingqiu, so he ignores it.- Language:

A strange relief flooded Binghe, even through the hurt that still burned in his heart three years later at seeing his betrayer again in the flesh. He let out a breath, body sagging, before he pulled himself together quickly and tilted his head back. He opened his mouth, ready to hit him with something sharp and witty, only for the words to die on his tongue when Shen Qingqiu turned his head to look at him, a strange look on his face.
“I’m hallucinating.”
The world screeched to a stop.
Or
Luo Binghe, some time after getting out of the Abyss, decides he can't wait any longer and makes a secret trip to Qing Jing Peak to see how Shen Qingqiu was for himself. However, reality and fantasy are often worlds apart, and what he finds is the last thing he would have expected to see.
