Honestly, I've written this summary repeatedly without being satisfied. Just read the tags.
Almost a year has passed since Newt and a group of fellow teenage boys woke up with no memories in the center of a maze. Each day is the same—wake up, eat, run the maze corridors, fail to solve the maze, eat, sleep. Like clockwork, once a month, a new boy and fresh supply of necessities arrive. The monotony and lack of progress has Newt slowly losing hope. Newt’s hope is rekindled when a new glader arrives who seemingly is the same, except she’s a girl and is not as helpful or as pleasant as Newt envisioned. Meanwhile, reader grapples with a secret she can’t even remember. As the maze becomes history, outside intervention makes it harder for her to hide this secret from Newt, whom she’s grown close to since their escape and can’t bear to lose. Even worse, a disease has now added a time clock to their growing bond.
The question is always the same. Will they set aside their differences and work together? Or will conflict, emotions, and secrets rip them apart.

Summary
