Peter didn’t sleep last night. Not after the news he accidentally overheard from Pepper and Mr. Stark talking in the living room. It wasn’t his fault that he had super hearing, and the couple knew about his extensive range, so they were totally trying to get him to listen in.
Guilt, shame, and anxiety swelled in Peter’s chest. He had no right to be unhappy for his classmates about the once-in-a-lifetime trip that they had the privilege of experiencing. Yes, Peter had a deep resting unease about it. That on its own was no reason to dread this amazing opportunity. It was one Peter had daily, which is the whole fucking problem.

Peter gets to spend all summer living in Avengers Tower with Tony. When the Rogue Avengers get pardoned and come back to live at the Tower too, they're confused as to who Peter is. However, once they see how Tony acts around Peter, that confusion goes away, as they know for certain who Peter must be - Tony's secret son.
Tony and Peter decide to make the most of the situation, and play along. They hope they can keep up the act all summer. But they soon learn that they barely have to act at all.Series

Tony spots Peter and tells the teacher he needs to ‘borrow’ him for a minute, and the class watches as Tony puts his arm around Peter’s shoulders. All the way back to school the class pesters Peter about his relationship to Tony. They want to know if Peter is Tony’s son. They have no idea how much Peter wishes he could just answer that in the affirmative. Fluff and minor angst.

"Like, I know you're the god of thunder, but I didn't know your hammer had magic powers too! That is so cool. I want one. Like, I won't get it, obviously, 'cause I don't want to steal your thunder—no pun intended.”
He grinned at his totally-intended pun, but Thor didn't react. Not even a twitch of the lips.
“Okay, yeah, that was a dumb joke,” Peter admitted. “Sorry. Here's your hammer, Mr. Thor.” He held out the weapon to its rightful owner.
Thor just stared.
