Summary
After knowing eachother for a couple of years, secrets come to light; Grian and Scar are left to face the 36 questions for a second time.

This fic is *heavily* inspired by 36 Questions: A Podcast Musical. I'm essentially taking a lot of the dialogue and copy-pasting, save a few alterations to match the characters. Since the source material is in audio format, there are going to be a plethora of sections that are just dialogue. I am going to try my best to break them up, but in the event of overlapping lines, I'll be using "S:" to notate Scar speaking, and "G:" to notate Grian.

Summary
Ryland Grace was Eva Stratt’s first choice for mission science specialist aboard the Hail Mary. He declined, and the astrophage explosion never happened, so Martin DuBois was sent to Tau Ceti. He died in a coma along with Yáo and Ilyukhina. Simon was born on Earth fourteen years after Ryland Grace. Instead of the COI, the latter half of his childhood was marred by the beginnings of the astrophage crisis.
Fourteen years after the launch of the Hail Mary, a beetle returns to Earth. Over a decade earlier than should have been physically possible. The telemetry reveals that all three members of the crew died. So who sent it back, and why? Grace and Simon work alongside a team of scientists to see if the Earth’s Hail Mary pass can still be salvaged.
(Absolutely no knowledge of Iron Lung or Arrival is needed to enjoy this fic - I just borrowed a character from each. This is an AU of Project Hail Mary in a universe I'm calling the "Penpal Verse," for reasons which should become apparent.)

Summary
The Blood Eel only knows pain and isolation in its world. Others have come searching for answers, only to learn in the end that death is the only one that matters. But then it meets Simon. As it unmakes him it catches a glimpse of something its never seen before, Happiness. It wants to learn about it, yet Simon doesn't know it. It goes to throw him away, but then he utters a prayer.
Hail Mary, full of Grace
The Blood Eel searches the cosmos and comes across The Hail Mary, occupied by Ryland Grace, and it decides this is what Simon was asking for. So it obliges.
What follows is the story of two lost souls coming together in a cosmic event, learning together to live, to love, to be happy. All while The Blood Eel looks on, insuring it continues to learn, one way or another.

Summary
Ryland was hiding something. In Court's opinion, there was no use in hiding it because he would find out at the end of the day, anyway. Still, he didn't know how to feel about his little brother being attached to his phone 24/7.
