“I…” Guel shrugs, tosses his free hand. Lauda always asks good questions, but he’s not always at the right mindset to field them. “I don’t have to come in anywhere. That’s not a part of our agreement, anymore.”
“You can’t just say that,” Lauda hisses. “You can’t just treat this like another one of your business arrangements, Brother. That is your child inside her! That was your sperm that made it possible for Suletta to be with-child.” And yet, even knowing the facts, Guel sure hates to hear them.

Miorine, usually awake and ready to go by 8, is currently staring at her bowl of cereal with the dead-eyed look of someone whose sinuses are clogged with the most foul of substances. She looks like she’s not sure where she even is. Suletta watches her for a long time, mostly because Miorine isn’t moving and that makes it easy.
”You’re not going to work today.” Suletta says.
”I’m fine.” Miorine slurs out, the words barely able to leave her lips without an accompanying pool of drool. Suletta is both incredibly annoyed and very endeared.

"Are you okay?" Suletta pauses, letting Miorine get a few feet in front of her "Are you sick? You're not very steady on your feet-"
"Why-" Miorine breathes in sharply, and she glares over her shoulder at her "Stop staring at me."
"I'm not staring..." Suletta follows her, carrying her bag with ease. Miorine stumbles, and Suletta reaches out to grab her. Somehow, her arm ends up wrapped around Miorine's waist, and Miorine lets out a frustrated noise.
"Why are you so annoying?" she says, and her voice is whiny and soft, so unlike herself. Suletta pauses, looking at her with wide, confused eyes. The confusion turns to understanding, then shock.
"Miss Miorine- Are you drunk?!"

Summary
Sunrises are different everywhere. In the city, light wavers between buildings. In the country, the deep smell of dirt, earth, earth like the planet she lives on. In the seaside (Miorine had never seen the sea; you think of rich kids like they have the world at their hand, don't you, but there's plenty of things she'd never had) in the seaside, the air is cutting and it makes your face warm, it almost hurts. Everything smells like the sea when the sun rises, even if you can't quite explain why.
A clatter from inside the house. It breaks Miorine out of her reverie. She swears under her breath and rushes back inside, leaving the patio door wide open.
"It's okay!" Suletta says, her voice ringing clear through the small house, much too small as far as anyone else is concerned, but they're not anyone else. "Everything is fine!"

Summary
The physical effects of piloting the Calibarn were obvious and immediate, from the moment Suletta woke up unable to move her body.
The mental effects, well, those took longer to surface. It was easy at first; Suletta was too preoccupied with talks of rehab and weddings and Miorine to even notice anything was different.
And when she did notice, it wasn't because of her thoughts. It was with her heart. Go figure. The mental effects were not constrained to her mind.

Summary
Miorine leans against the doorframe, and she crosses her arms over her chest. She's doing her best to stare down the familiar-yet-unfamiliar stranger, who's the same height as Suletta and thus towering far above her.
"Explain the situation to me again." Miorine says, her brow furrowing and a pout on her lips. Not-Suletta blinks, and she's still smiling, but she's starting to look a bit weary.
"Like I said, I don't know the specifics..." she reaches up to rub the back of her neck, and she laughs nervously "But, there was an accident involving experimental technology so I um... Exchanged places with my younger self."
Due to a technological mishap, 20-year-old Suletta trades places with her 17-year-old self for a day
