Picks up during the final chapter of Aquarius Rising where Dr. Ramirez leads the expedition to rescue Sebastian from the Blacksite.

Charlie tries so, so hard to get her residents to open up in their morning activities. Sharing circles seemed like such a good idea at the time, but they only work if the people in them have nice, legal, wholesome things to share. Her residents do not.

Sir Pentious regaled Heaven with tales of Hell, the Hazbin Hotel, and how he arrived at the Pearly Gates. Of course, he mentioned Alastor, the hotelier, a tall man with a constant radio aesthetic and quick, easy smile.
Turns out Al's mother overheard. Turns out Al's mother is very keen on finding out why her precious baby boy is in Hell.
And, well, one doesn't tell their mother they were a serial killer. So they come up with the next best lie, on short notice.

Hollywood is glitz and glamor and getting drunk and dancing until you can't feel your legs anymore in jazz clubs that would get shut down by the cops, if they weren't so easily bribed. For a daytime radio host, night time serial killer, it's a perfect playground. There's always someone begging to go missing in Tinseltown. Sometimes, they just happen to be a bit closer to home than usual, and what man can call himself a gentleman if he doesn't go to the aid of a lady in need?
