Summary
Ten years ago, Akemura Soga killed Ariu Mikaboshi.
After a decade of captivity beneath the Kamunabi Headquarters, Akemura is visited by him. Not as a ghost or a hallucination, but as the part of Ariu which survived within Akemura when he killed him.
And Ariu is here for a reason; to tell Akemura what it took for the Mikaboshi to survive for a thousand years in the darkness.

"I'm gayer", they both say, at the exact same time.
They turn to each other, first surprise at the audacity, then a frown and an arched eyebrow in annoyance about the other's claim.
Luckily, Uruha has a wonderful idea to solve this situation in the best way posible.

In another universe where the Kamuanbi consulted with the Prince of the Soga clan for the best route to victory, Fushimi received Kumeyuri just before his eleventh birthday and went to war only to return home adrift and out of place. Meanwhile, Uruha never received any of the Enchanted Blades, took up with Natsuki, and became a Kamunabi agent. Fifteen years later, Natsuki's assassination sends Fushimi to Kokugoku for protection while Uruha becomes the captain of the guard there, all of this due to the Prince's machinations.
