Summary
Freshly graduated from Malory Towers, eighteen-year-old Darrell Rivers is off to St Andrews with her old classmates Sally Hope, Alicia Johns, and Betty Hill. The girls look forward to four years of studies, sports, and plenty of fun as they face the new adventure of university life.
Note: I have taken certain liberties with the details of the degrees the characters are studying for and their living arrangements at St Andrews. This story is just my headcanon of what Darrell and her friends do after school--please don't mind any discrepancies from actual life at St Andrews! Also, the last Malory Towers book was published in 1951, so I presume the girls attend university from 1952 to 1956.

Summary
Captain William Ransom, Ninth Earl of Ellesmere, is assigned a covert mission by his commanding officer to uncover a rebel spy in the tiny parish of Rosewood, Philadelphia. Posing as William Dunsany, a young immigrant from England, he is taken in by John Rose and his beautiful half-Iroquois daughter, Anna. Meanwhile, he struggles to reconcile himself to the fact that he is not the biological son of the eighth Earl, but is actually a bastard born of an encounter between his mother, Geneva Dunsany, and Jamie Fraser, a known rebel and traitor to the Crown. Surrounded by rebel sympathisers, William must play his cards carefully if he is to uncover the spy... and he must also guard his twice-broken heart if he is to keep himself from falling in love with the enchanting, spirited Anna...

Summary
Rhaena Targaryen, tired of playing nursemaid to her two younger half-brothers, makes a bold decision-to claim Sheepstealer, the wild dragon that has made a home on the hillside of the Eyrie. Determined to be a dragonrider like her sister Baela and join the war, she rushes headlong towards the beast, and towards freedom.
Meanwhile, Rhaenyra has to contend with the new dragonseeds and ensure they learn the ways of the dragonriders. Addam of Hull-a newly minted dragonlord and bastard son of Corlys Velaryon-proves especially loyal, and she decides to award him by knighting him Ser Addam Velaryon.
When Rhaena returns to Dragonstone atop her new steed, Rhaenyra is both worried and impressed-the girl is far too young and inexperienced for battle, and is still untethered after the loss of her betrothed, Lucerys. Driftmark is still in need of an heir, and when Corlys decides to legitimise Alyn, Addam's brother, and declare him heir to Driftmark, there is nothing to stop Rhaenyra from arranging the betrothal of Rhaena to Addam, now the second son of an old and reputed house, and a suitable match for a princess.
