She brings her knees up to her chest, resting her head on top of folded arms. The more she thought about it, feeding, the more this urge built up in her chest. God, out of all people why did it need to be her. Why was she stuck with this of all things? It could’ve been anything else, anything useful.
But he shakes his head. He pushes that urge down as far as he can. He had to ignore it, for his own sake. Before somebody got hurt. Lui keeps his head buried against himself as he hears the door open and close. There's footsteps and shuffling as somebody comes over and sits next to him. He glances up and beside him is his boyfriend.

They stop in a clearing, and their ear twitches. It’s an unsettling sort of quiet. Was there really that much superstition about the ruins of a warehouse?
Crow glances over their shoulder. Once, then twice. Nobody there. Something just didn’t sit right in their mind, but it’s something they’d live with. Nothing left to do now but get searching. Greyish-purple hands pick up bits of rubble and throw it off to the side, finding nothing. This continues for a while. Nothing, nothing and a bit more nothing.

An Eridian mining crew find a human welded into a stranded ship on the surface of a moon. They bring him back to Erid, to the only other human they know.
Something in Grace's chest flickered into life. He had buried it so long ago that he hardly knew what it was anymore, and so he took off his glasses and cleaned them on the edge of his cardigan, as if Rocky's words were a smudge he could clear away before finding the will to hope.
“Ah…” his words failed halfway out of his mouth. Rocky chittered at him, a little sound of encouragement. “There’s another human? Here. And… alive?”

The Prince stands and puts a hand on Peter’s shoulder. “Peter, I need you to look at me, ok?” Peter does, albeit shrinking under their gaze and wiping away tears as he fights back sobs. “What’s wrong?”
Peter just shakes his head. “Sorry, sorry…” he says.
“It’s alright, there’s no need to apologize. Do you feel sick?”
Peter nods hesitantly. “I’m- I’m scared.”
“It’s alright to be scared but you have to tell me what’s wrong so I can help you. Was there something in the food?”

Peter winds up as the royal taste tester for Prince Rumi, the soon to be king. Despite his regular screw ups, the Prince seems to be growing fond of him. Unfortunately for Peter, he’s starting to fall for the Prince. But they could never love their food taster back. Right?
