People despised King ParrotX2 everywhere they went. The small army that they had before splitting up for the most part didn't really have a choice whether to be there or not. Theo may not be the brightest bulb, however anyone who knew anything about how people treated their king would find the sudden influx of volunteers strange at best

“Are your hands steady?” Wemmbu repeated, now much slower, separating each word with a pause, “Yes or no, bro?”
The angel groaned, “I heard you the first time, no, I mean, what? What do you want of me this time?”

Summary
Now that the war was done he actually could do this without a threat of death looming over him on a daily basis. Peace felt odd to him, foreign even. Flame understood that soon everything will be back to the baseline and the threats will be back, but the experience of working under The Law really made him realize how far he had come and how his perception of his enemies had changed. Perhaps in the next conflict he inevitably ends up entangled in he will act differently than he usually does.
