Summary
In the fairy tales Sanji’s mother read to him when he was small, the world is orderly, easily described in a series of simple if-thens. For example: if there is a mysterious, abandoned castle under a curse, then there will also be a sleeping princess inside it. If the princess has been cruelly trapped, then knights from across the land will embark on a quest to free her. If the princess is beautiful and sad, then a handsome prince will find her and kiss her awake, and they will fall in love and live happily ever after.
In the quiet countryside town of Kuraigana, there is a mysterious, abandoned castle. There is a casket, and a curse. And there is something sleeping inside the casket, waiting to be awoken. Instead of a beautiful princess, though, a demon slumbers in Kuraigana Castle. And, instead of a handsome prince to break his spell, the poor sap is stuck with Sanji.

Summary
“Aslan knows that unless I have blood, as the law demands,” she proclaims viciously, turning and raising her voice for all Aslan’s camp to hear, “all of Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water. That boy will die on the Stone Table…” She pauses, regarding them. A tiny, razor-sharp smile lifts the corners of her lips, her eyes. Edmund is stiller than Peter has ever seen him. Still as stone. As death. As one of the Witch’s statues. The smile grows to a smirk as she finishes, “…as is tradition.”
Before the Witch can say anything else, before Edmund can shrink further into himself or Lucy can cry, before Peter can allow the dark froth of fear sloshing in his stomach to rise any higher—before Peter can consider the consequences, he says, “Take me instead.”
(or, a world where it is peter who dies for edmund, and peter who comes back. this changes everything, and also nothing at all.)

Summary
Maybe there is something to be said that the first time they kiss, they kiss on a sinking ship. As if to say: this too, is inevitable. The waves are gnashing above the sea’s bottomless maw, and the timbers of the sinking galleon groan their own dirge – as far as this space of sea is concerned, the world is ending. Then there they are, balanced on the cusp of it, concerned only with how they exist relative to each other.
There’s an awful devotion to it, and it shouldn’t be romantic. But Sanji is hopeless. He’s always wanted a love like this.

Bookmarker's Notes
Sentient sword trope is so funny and so elite every time
