He bit the inside of his cheek, swallowing. He thought about the prank they’d pulled last night. The two of them, running like madmen from Filch, throwing wild-eyed grins at each other as they went. Then, hiding in that dark broom cupboard, chests heaving, panting in silent, terrified breaths and they giggled into each other’s shoulders, giddily, not a care in the world.
The truth was, if Evans made him feel little butterflies in his stomach...Sirius made him feel kaleidoscopes. If Evans made him feel a bit giddy, Sirius made him feel euphoric. If Evans made James feel a bit hot, Sirius made him feel....warm.
Evans made him feel something, sure, but Sirius made him feel magnitudes.
