Summary
Daiki is a police officer in Shinjuku investigating a string of child kidnappings and murders that have shaken the community. As the case drags on without an arrest, public trust in the police begins to collapse, with the blame falling on the investigation itself. Daiki throws himself deeper into the case with every failed lead, unable to let it go even as it begins consuming his life, and he starts losing himself.

It’s a horrible pick up attempt. Kiyoomi resents the anticipation that twists in his gut, resents all the sly smiles and weighted stares that work exactly how they’re intended to. Resents that Atsumu knows what he’s doing, wearing Kiyoomi down until he snaps under the tension.
