It was only then that the prince turned back to Ilya, this time extending his hand with a courtly smile.
"Excuse me, sir," Shane said. "I do not believe we have met. Are you a lord?"
Ilya extended his own hand, "Your Highness, I believe we have."
Prince Shane's face went deathly pale.

Prince Shane is the one and only heir to his kingdom's throne, but he wants nothing more than to run away from his inevitable fate as king. During an ongoing war, Shane's father arranges a marriage between him and Princess Rose of the enemy kingdom.
It is up to Shane's knight, Sir Ilya, to protect him against a rebel murder scheme and convince the prince to stay in the kingdom and fight for his people, so that the war can finally come to an end.
