    Summary

"Sumo, this better be worth it," he checked the alarm clock. 2:32 AM. "Fucking Christ." Hank stood up, and slowly made his way out the door, careful to not trip over the mess on his floor.

The Saint Bernard seemingly ran to the kitchen, whining softly, urging Hank to follow.

Hank picked up his pace a bit, the strange activity putting him on edge a bit. Hairs on his arm stood up as he entered the kitchen

What he saw wasn't an intruder, no, but an android curled in on himself by the cabinets. His LED was a golden yellow, flickering red every so often.

    "Connor?"

Hank wakes up to a very persistent dog, and the night evolves into comforting an android he thinks of as a son.

The bell rang as Saiki entered the classroom, forcing Teruhashi to her seat with a sigh. The two made eye contact as Saiki sat down across the aisle from her. She could swear she saw him smirk for the briefest moment.

Ugh! Poor timing again. I’ll get you later, Saiki! You can’t evade me forever!

Saiki glanced up at her, only to catch her staring from behind her dark blue bangs. She tried to play it off as reading something behind him, but he saw right through her. Sorry Teruhashi – you may have God on your side, but I’ve got divine powers of my own.

I'll get you today, Saiki! I know I will, she thought to herself as she schemed about ways to find him.

He shook his head. Teruhashi, you’re a formidable opponent. Though, you won't find me, he thought.

But keep looking... said a tiny part of him.

    --

saiki kusuo wants to keep his distance; teruhashi kokomi wants to close it. it's an unresolvable dilemma that locks the two in an unspoken duel of schemes, trickery, and maybe even a little deception. it's just a friendly little game of cat and mouse-- until someone gets hurt. but one has to lose for the other to win... right?

    Summary

When the Lifestream throws Cloud back into the past with the vague mission to 'save the world, but better this time', he is left at a loss for what to do. With no allies in sight and Shinra returned to their full power. Could help come from an unlikely source, and is an alliance with his old nemesis even possible?
Will Cloud be able to make it back to his friends, stop Sephiroth from losing his mind and make enough of an impact to reshape the future?
Well, if it stops him from becoming a mass murderer with a serious God complex, then what's the harm in trying, hey?
An unexpected bromance ensues, while Shinra fights to regain their strongest asset.

A comedic, somewhat-serious take on 'time travel fix it', playing on a bunch of shippy tropes, which focuses more on action, cosmic horror and maybe even saving the world.

"It's the damnedest thing, but I don't recall seeing the three of you at practice." Boots tap on the floor. "Am I to assume that you simply... forgot?"

    "Sorry, sir!"

    The response is immediate, and—

and his voice sounds younger. His head is stuffed with cotton. The tone the military officer uses is familiar in its domineering condescension. Cloud is suddenly very, very small, and he is a face in a crowd of many and he is not special and he will never be because this is where you learn you are anything but. He thinks the infantry beside him parrot his apology, but it's a beat or two late.

    -

Or: Cloud, Upper Junon, and what being back in the infantry means to him.

“Is it hard being a psychic?”

It's an odd question— one that admittedly catches the pink-haired boy off guard— but he doesn't hesitate to respond.

"Good grief… of course it is. There's always something to fix, or somebody to save. But I'm used to it."

The rabbit steps closer, eyeing him. “Is that why you look so unhappy?”

In which Saiki befriends a baby rabbit, toils with his sense of humanity, and continues to push people away.
