Summary
Dustin turns himself into a dragon. It unearths some secrets about Steve's family.
“So, you’re not going to barbecue me, right?”
The dragon made the same little chirruping sound it had made before, then tilted its head to the side as if waiting for a response from Steve.
“All right. No barbecue. What do you want from me then?”
In answer, the dragon made a low sort of mmmmmrrrrrr sound, and wriggled it’s whole body into a crouch. Steve had a fleeting image of Mrs. Henderson’s cat as it prepared to pounce into his lap, and just enough time to brace himself as the dragon fully launched itself off the shelf and into his arms. It was heavier than it looked, and though Steve prized himself on his quick reflexes and general athleticism, he managed to lose his balance and fell straight on his ass as the dragon took advantage of Steve’s graceless tumble to snuggle into his arms and let out a content rumble.

A fantasy AU that blends elements of A Knight's Tale (cross-dressing lady knights! swordplay! romance!) and epic D&D campaigns (including princes hiding a magic secret, a cursed forest, and corrupt Kings!)

Summary
Five years after a messy divorce, Eddie has made a life for himself and his kids in a revitalized Hawkins. Corroded Coffin's record label is taking off. Professionally? He's got it together. Personally? He's struggling. Wayne's recovering from a stroke, his twins have hit the ferocious fours, and his oldest son won't talk to him. He needs help, but can't ask for it.
After a career ending injury and the loss of his wife, Steve is also back in Hawkins. The change will be good for 11-year-old Sami. They were adrift in Chicago, at odds with each other and the world, and unable to talk across the gulf of grief between them. At a crossroads, he lets Robin and Chrissy set him up with a job: looking after Eddie's house and kids and helping with Wayne's PT.
It's bound to be awkward, but it's been sixteen years since Steve and Eddie broke each other's hearts, and they're adults now. Surely they can make it work. Their lives collide, and old wounds come to the surface, but when Jason Carver comes back to town with a vendetta against Robin and Chrissy, and a plan to destroy what Hawkins has become, Steve and Eddie must band together to help their family, and their town, survive.

“Ilya Rozanov,” says Svetlana. Feeling virtuous about it, she offers her hand first. “Don’t tell him I said you have the best hands in the league.”
Shane’s face is rigid. “Um. I won’t?”
“Thank you,” she says gravely. “You have saved a life.” Rose laughs, stroking Shane’s arm, and he suddenly remembers Svetlana’s hand is hanging. He takes it limply and disposes of it quick. His eyes look a little wild.
