Summary
“I still don’t believe a word he said,” Sanji tells Luffy. But he can’t help the way his mind wanders back to Zoro’s words for the rest of the night.
Who was Kuina? Was she really a secret lover, as Nami had put it? Or maybe she was a friend. A sister. Maybe even a mother? That would be weird, though, what with the way Zoro was talking about her. He was practically mooning over her in the same way Sanji did over his dearest Nami-swan.
This is stupid, Sanji decides as he helps Usopp carry Zoro back to the ship against his will. It’s the mosshead. Who cares?
Or, Zoro makes a drunken confession and Sanji wholeheartedly believes the swordsman has just revealed he has a secret wife. Her name? Kuina.

“Stiles,” Scott says, but Stiles shushes him, and presses play.
Immediately, voices blare out of the tinny little speakers. The image is blurry at first, like the camera was being waved around, and then it clears up. Filling most of the frame is a table with about a hundred kids around it, all crowding a scrawny boy with jet black hair and a ten thousand watt smile.
Derek, Stiles thinks, although he’s barely recognizable. How could that be Derek Hale?
Or, Stiles finds a box of home videos in the burnt down Hale house. Things get complicated.

Adam was well aware who his next door neighbor was, even before he first glimpsed the man.
He hadn’t told John or Mark— hell, he hadn’t told Amanda, even though nowadays he told her everything. He hoped it wasn’t important enough to mention, at least to them. It was important to him. He’d picked it for a reason.
Besides, if Lawrence ever figured out that his new next door neighbor was the same man he left for dead in a dirty bathroom, he’d probably just think he’d finally gone crazy.

He’s alive.
Jayce is alive.
Or, the missing scenes in which Jayce, presumed dead, shows up out of nowhere and drags Caitlyn, her girlfriend, and her mother's killer out of the Undercity.

Later, he grew to admire it. To find it attractive. Even when Jayce began to pay more attention to politics, to the council, to Mel more than Viktor, he couldn’t help but love it. Love Jayce.
It hurt, seeing it now, through Jayce’s eyes. The passion was almost visible in the way he saw the world. In the way he saw his work. In the way he saw Viktor.

Scott didn’t like the way the new Wolverine was looking at him.
It was a look of disbelief, first and foremost. What with the way he was clutching Wade Wilson’s hand, it could have even been apprehension. But there was a small touch of something else in his eyes. What it was, Scott couldn’t tell.
Logan had always had these big, elaborate emotions. He laughed loud and screamed louder. But every so often he’d act a certain way that Scott just couldn’t figure out.
Or, Scott can't figure out the new Logan, and he doesn't like it.

He needed a drink.

Summary
Starting up a conversation felt awkward and tiring. Everyone in his classes sat as far as they could get from him. Even his brothers sat on the opposite sides of the room. And everybody stared.
So he found his own place, up the back stairs and out a door that was probably supposed to be locked. The roof was quiet and empty and isolated. He didn’t mind it, though, it gave him time to work in peace. Being lonely wasn’t all that bad when you had homework to get done.
That’s what he tried to convince himself, anyway.
Or, Raph starts high school and realizes it’s not as easy as he thought it would be. But he can do better, right? He can be better. He just has to try to be normal for once.

Casey’s second wind was no strength, all desperation. If he had more than a sliver of self preservation, he might have pushed the rubble off his legs. He might have crawled out of the collapsed building. He might have survived.
But the only thing Casey Jones’ head was known for was how many concussions it had endured, so when he opened his eyes and saw Leo seemingly dead beside him, the words “rational decision making” didn’t even pass through his mind.

He half wants to try it himself, but he doesn’t know where to find a blade sharp enough to cut through the thick shell covering his torso.
