Aside from their long-standing animosity towards one another, it should be a breeze to work together. Besides, lives depend on them getting along.

Bruce lets himself be guided by Clark’s hands, his head falling back to let the suds be washed out. Clark can’t help the spark of amazement at the pliant surrender, the softness of his throat vulnerable to the open room. “I’ve never seen you so relaxed,” he comments in awe. And it’s true. Even in the safety of the Batcave, even in Wayne Manor, he’s never seen Bruce look so…small.
“Tired,” Bruce mutters dismissively.
Clark knows he must be. It’s been two days since they left the prison where Clark was being kept, and who knows how long he was searching before he finally found him. But Clark’s seen him push on with less sleep and more exertion than this. He won’t complain, though. It’s a privilege to see Bruce like this. To be trusted like this.

Summary
The Kryptonian is supposed to be all the way in Metropolis right now, yet here he is. He can’t deny the warmth that it brings him to know how much the other cares. Clark’s arm wraps around him and holds him tightly to his body and he reaches out to grip the Kryptonian’s shirt. He’s so glad Clark is here because he knows he’s going to pass out, he can feel it in the way his heart is slowing and the way his blinks are starting to feel heavy.
Or, Bruce has chronic vasovagal syncope and often faints but Clark is always there to help him.

Kryptonians abandoned their hive mentality a long time ago after defeating their last Omega Queen.
Clark knew of the history and didn't think he had anything to worry about. All Kryptonians were dead after all, and human omegas were different. There was no new Queen to tell him what to do.
Until he met Bruce Wayne - the leader of the League of Assassins.

Mild-mannered junior reporter (and relatively recent superhero) Clark Kent gets his first big job all to himself. When the trail leads him to Gotham and the turf of his ally, and idol, Batman, Clark gets injured in the crossfire, unable to reveal his true identity. He's forced to recuperate at the mansion of Batman's apparent ally, infamous playboy Brucie Wayne. Bruce's kids seem determined to keep Clark in close proximity, thwarting his attempts to either return to his super persona or avoid Wayne's ridiculous flirting. But there's more to the case, and Wayne, than meets the eye.
Batman doesn't rescue pretty reporters, that's Superman's schtick, but when a firefight forces Clark Kent of the Daily Planet to recuperate at Wayne Manor, Bruce will just have to manage. Juggling fatherhood and an overbearing public persona is bad enough, but fighting the investigative power of a journalist in his own home could bring down not only his secret identity, but his sons'. He's determined not to give in to the draw of big blue eyes, or, more embarrassingly, to his boys' meddling. And worst of all, no one can find Superman.
