HELLO IM IN LOVE!?
this is the first fic I've ever come across where ameno sagiri attempting to absorb yu actually leave lasting effects on him.
yu was essentially tortured woth solitary confinement which causes significant mental harm to individuals. there are even cases of this harm becoming permanent.
i can also intimately understand Yu's situation with his mom. from personal experience it's hard, that after all that time it took decades for your own parent to realize and try to change. it's awful when they realize after you've already started to simply give up on them. even with haruko's flaws, i enjoyed her character so far. Yu's dad can explode.
i love how much yosuke is trying. the little things he does to the small things he says. it's so obvious how deeply he cares for yu. it really plays into his traits of deep loyalty and how reliable he is
even if this never gets updated, im so happy i got to read this! -

Summary
Yu Narukami wasn’t the type of person who was known to showcase his emotions that often. Everybody knew him as someone who typically had himself together at all times. Yu always had this same neutral expression plastered on his face no matter the occasion.
If they were lucky enough, they’d get at least a small smile from their admirable leader which never failed to capture the hearts of many. Yu rarely smiled, but he also rarely sulked or scowled. At some times, Yosuke often wondered if Yu was actually capable of feeling emotions.
Apparently, Yu still could.

There were times when Yu would wake up in the middle of the night after a particular dream, or downright lay awake late at night, unable to sleep from being plagued by thoughts of his best friend. Not that he wasn't already being plagued by them during the day, but some nights can be particularly unbearable.
Yu doesn't actually want to be a girl, but there are days where he wishes he was one, if only to get Yosuke to look his way.

Giyuu is sent out to accompany Kyojuro on his missions and to secretly serve as his bodyguard while the rest of the Corps tries to track down Akaza and slay him.
