Mom herself stood weeping with one hand over her mouth.
So much for the Rozanov/Hollander rivalry.
In December, 2008, Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander met during the International Prospect Cup and jointly sized up the competition. Their rising stars were destined to follow a parallel course. But only days before the NHL draft, Hollander inexplicably committed a series of shocking murders and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Now, fifteen years later, Ilya has been arrested in connection with an international drug trafficking conspiracy, and will be granted immunity in exchange for information. Summary
"Just tell me what you want, and I'll do it." Jesse glances up at him, through his eyelashes, and Mike starts to get a sinking feeling about where this is going. "I owe you, right? So take what you want." The kid's voice has taken on a strange, shaky sort of certainty. Like he's done this a million times before, and been taken up on the offer every single time.
Thanks to suggestions and feedback, this is now going to be a series of loosely connected one-shots. There's a sort of story progressing here, but for now they're mostly just character studies.
