Chapter Text
The school year had just begun and Marjorine is on her way to school since it's the first day after summer break. She missed seeing her friends, she hasn't seen them for the whole summer due to being busy with concerts and performances with her bandmates.
Marjorine was apart of a band called Crimson dawn she was the guitarist and her bandmates Stan the lead singer, Jimmy the drummer. Tolkien and Kenny the bassists.
They had decided to form a band back to when Stan lived on a farm and started writing about songs of hating the farm. Marjorine offered to be the guitarist of the band and Kenny said he could be the bassist, so Marjorine started learning how to play the guitar, Kenny learned to play the bass and Jimmy the drums. Tolkien joined the band at some point and ended up being their second bassist. Eventually they wrote their first song and released it. It was a big hit and now they're a pretty well known band all over South park.
Speaking of Kenny.. 'Where the fuck is he? I thought hes coming to pick me up!?' Marjorine sighed as she grabbed her phone from her pocket and checked it to see if Kenny had called or texted which he had.
Kenny 7:34am
Sorry Leo I had to go pick up Tammy i'll be there soon.
Marjorine cringed at the name. She hasn't told anyone about her little "secret" not even her best friend Kenny who she had known for 10 years. She knows that he wouldn't judge her no matter what, but the thought of him finding out and immediately thinking she's weird, or telling other people and making fun of her for being trans was killing her, she couldn't tell him not yet atleast. She will tell him eventually when the time is right.
She can't hide her true identity forever.
But she could absolutely never tell her parents they were very religious and believed anyone who was apart of the LGBTQ+ community would be sent straight to hell. If her parents found out, Marjorine already knows what they would do. Either they would sent her to a conversion camp or kick her out of the house because in their eyes she will always be their "son" no matter what.
"Hey Leo!" Kenny said waving at her "Hi Butters!" Tammy said smiling at her. "Hey guys! What took you so long?" Marjorine asked curiosity in her voice. "Kenny was arguing with his brother apparently which took him some time to pick me up" Tammy explained while Marjorine was getting into the backseat of the car.
"Anyways.. How are we feeling about the first day of school?" Kenny asked trying to change the subject. "Honestly I'm a little excited I haven't seen my friends the whole summer! Gosh it's been so long" Marjorine replied excited about finally seeing them. "What about you Tammy? Are you excited about school starting?"
"No, not really I hate school and I already know were going to have a teacher who gives us homework on the first day!" She answered Butter's question. Kenny chuckled "Dont worry Tams i can help you with your homework" Tammy sighed knowing he was being sarcastic.
And you might be wondering who is Tammy? Well she is Kenny's girlfriend they have been dating for a year now. Marjorine doesn't hate her she thinks Tammy is a really nice and sweet girl, and is really happy for Kenny. Even tho she has had a crush on Kenny for 2 years now but never been able to tell him. She's scared of rejection, and besides he has Tammy now there's no way she would have a chance with him anymore. All she can do now is push her feelings down and be happy for her best friend.
But can she blame Tammy for going after Kenny? No she can't he's perfect in every way. Like how lovely his sandy blonde hair shines underneath the sun, his beautiful blue eyes, his voice so sweet and angelic, his kind and flirty personality, His cute smile and that adorable gap between his teeth everytime he smiles. She understood why Tammy liked him there so many likeable things about Kenny that she could mention.
Kenny is a great guy and Tammy deserves to be with him. It's not like he would look at her the same way he looks at Tammy.
Kenny and Tammy were talking about a different topic and Marjorine didn't want to disturb their conversation so she stayed quiet till they got to school.
-
Marjorine walked through the halls seeing familiar faces and also new faces she didn't recognise. She tried to look for her bandmates so they could share their schedules, and see if they had any of the same classes together before the bell rung.
She finally noticed Stan by his locker talking to Wendy she didn't want to interrupt their conversation. But then she noticed Tolkien and Clyde maybe she could go talk to them? Before class starts.
And that's what she did. Marjorine ran up to them finally she can talk to one of her friends but then there was a loud sound, It was the bell.
"Oh hamburgers.." She mumbled walking in the direction of her first class. First was homeroom and their teacher was Mr Garrison, Marjorine thought he had quit last year but apparently hes back again. She chose a spot next to the window there two seats at the desk meaning she would have to sit next to someone for the whole school year. Of course she didn't mind but it always depended who she has to sit next to if it was any of her friends she would be glad it was someone she knew and not a stranger.
"Do you mind if I sit here?"
Marjorine turned her head at the sound of the voice she just heard. It was one of the goth kids. Atleast she thought she had black hair a cross around her neck, interesting makeup and a long black dress.
"Of course you can..!" Marjorine answered she was hoping for one of her friends to sit next to her but it's okay she could get along with this stranger for sure.
Hopefully.
The stranger sat next to her neither of them spoke a word to one another, so there was awkward silence in the air till the teacher started speaking about something. A few minutes had gone by and Marjorine noticed a piece of thin paper that was folded on her desk. She glanced at the person sitting next to her, she was staring at the board so Marjorine couldn't really ask her about the paper. She decided to pick up the paper and open it.
"You're butters right?"
Marjorine stared at the text for a few seconds, before writing something underneath it.
"Yeah why?"
She passed it over to her, the stranger grabbed the paper and read it immediately writing a response back. Marjorine thought this was fun passing notes with someone she didn't even know. She got the paper back and opened it.
"Meet me behind the school tomorrow at 4:00 pm don't bring anyone else."
'Well that was odd' Marjorine thought. Why did she want to personally meet her behind the school tomorrow at exactly 4pm? And why couldn't she bring anyone? Was she going to beat her up? Or worse was she going to get a group of people to beat her up?! 'Overthinking is not helping right now. Just write something on the paper and give it to her.'
"Sure."
