"Don't you get the feeling that this is some sort of trap?" I didn't want to upset Donut, but her nonchalance about the whole situation was grating.
"No, Carl, I don't think it's some sort of trap. The AI said it himself, we've earned this. Unlike you, I have a sense of self-worth and can accept gracious gifts when I know I deserve them." She headbutted my leg and nuzzled her face against me. "However, also unlike you I've never had a romantic partner fool around behind my back, so I suppose I can see why you have such an issue trusting others."

The Royal Court of Princess Donut finds themselves transported to a tropical resort for seemingly no reason. Donut has no problem indulging in an all-inclusive vacation, but Carl isn't quite so easily convinced. -
