It does mean missing out on things like barbeques and team dinners sometimes, but it’s not as if he would have been able to participate anyway. At this point in his life, risking someone not taking his allergies seriously would mean potentially missing games, which makes it unacceptable. Jackie always makes sure he has a dish or two that’s safe when he’s over at their house, but if he was going to be the one guy sitting and drinking ginger ale instead of taking part in sharing nachos or Korean barbeque or burgers or any other delicious thing he goes in knowing he can’t have anyway, there’s no point in making a fuss about it. He eats at home, has a drink with everyone else, and he calls it a day. Easy. Safe. Foolproof.
But also the reason it doesn’t occur to him that he hasn’t actually told Ilya about any of his allergies until it becomes immediately relevant five days into being at his cottage together.

The Violet Banquet (TVB) is the name for the main group RP event in which alternates from across UTDR multiverses are invited to an estate party. The prototype (TVB 0) ran in February 2025 on the anniversary of Muffet's Love Ball, and the first canon event was held February 2026, starting at midnight EST on the 14th and ending at midnight on the 23rd.
The special lore unlocked by special side-quests are exclusive to the namesake events hosted on the estate itself by Ridwan, but there are also mini-events throughout the year hosted off-site by the other staff. As of yet, the main events are annual, but they are available for backreading year-round to those in the Discord server (linked to in the pinned post on @thevioletbanquetutmvrp on Tumblr) with the archive role 🔑. This is an adaptation selectively transcribed from the chat logs for audience accessibility, edited for formal syntax and narrated wherever context provided by chat or channel descriptions needed to be readded.

“Uh…yeah?” Buck answered softly and confused. Truthfully, he didn’t know. A few minutes ago, he started to feel a little fuzzy. The pain in his leg had begun to recede, but at that same moment, he felt tighter everywhere else. His chest, his skin, his throat. All of it just felt…off. The colours around him began blurring together, but he could tell—he knew—something wasn’t right. The last thing he was aware of was the rushed sound of Bobby’s footsteps before the world faded into blackness.
“Shit,” Bobby cursed. “What’s wrong?” He blurted out, even though he had a pretty good idea of what was happening. The only missing piece was why.
“C–can’t b–br–breathe…” Buck wheezed, the air whistling in his throat as he reached for Bobby’s hand. “S’m’th’n’s wr’ng…”

It hits him, then, like anaphylaxis is contagious: his chest feels tight, his breath frozen. He’s mad at Jack for getting so exposed. He’s mad at the patient for bringing in the allergen in the first place. He’s terrified, seeing Jack sweat, hearing Javadi read “90 over 70,” and even as Jack’s breathing begins to slow, and even as his systolic starts climbing, Robby is scared stiff.
Jack mumbles something around the mouthpiece of the nebulizer.
“No,” Robby snaps. “Shut up and breathe.”
