centuries ago, before modern day south korea, laid a kingdom that was known as kyongbok. the people of kyongbok were not your normal human beings, they were what they called "angels of love", or what modern folk would call them, cupids.
on a day that was supposed to be a peaceful day in kyongbok, war broke out, the nation of eodumji had attacked.
eodumji was ruled by reapers, specifically grim reapers. they hated the people of kyongbok with all their might.
the war was love versus death.
in the midst of the war, eighteen year old kim taehyung, the royal prince of kyongbok, was captured and taken to eodumji to be held hostage in the grim castle, where he was guarded by twenty-three year old jeon jeongguk, a grim knight and soldier who took his job very seriously.
things got complicated when taehyung went through his first ever heat and the only one there with him was none other than jeongguk.

Now if only he could suppress the paternalistic instincts rising within him long enough to actually get the boy to trust him, that would make everything easier.
