Summary
Everything seemed to be over for Goro Akechi. The life he lived, the fame he enjoyed, gone in the face of defeat and the sins and murders he committed, born from his lies and hate and brought about by a life of being rejected, friendless, and used as a plaything by his own father and a malevolent god.
But fate has given him a second chance, and now he finds himself in the realm of the forgotten, Gensokyo, where his crimes and past are unknown. Now, as he attempts to reinvent himself he must confront the troubles of his new friends and a force which threatens to drown humans and youkai alike in their worst instincts.
A what-if scenario following Akechi after his apparent death in Persona 5.

Ren Amamiya is just your average high school girl. Until one day, she gets arrested because some slimeball insisted that she assaulted him. To get away from it all, her parents send her to Tokyo. Now Ren is presented with the task of stopping the figure before chaos reigns over Japan.

Kotone Shiomi's Great Seal was destroyed, damning her Earth to the wickedness of Nyx. Her soul drifts away before Erebus of her universe could notice, and is lost in the infinite sea of souls only to be found years later, by Elizabeth and Margaret.
But before her resurrection, a quartet of evil gods have met to test the might of the newest generations of persona users that live in a universe with its Great Seal intact.The gods make the intact world an open air prison to wear down and torment the newest generations of persona users until they die. Rules will be bent out of spite by one side and to keep on fighting by another side.
Although other characters take the spotlight sometimes, this is a Kotone-centric fanfic.
This story takes place during the P5R timeline after 24 December 2016. As I am basing this off P5R, terminology and some gameplay mechanics from it will be used from here on. Usage of gameplay mechanics is simply for storytelling purposes.
Edited often for typos; your first read may be different from your second. Relationships are tagged for filtering purposes as they appear in the fic; they have no plot relevance otherwise.

Ren’s life revolves around three main things: getting through college, balancing two-and-a-half jobs, and ensuring that Akechi doesn’t disappear off the face of the earth again. Despite the mundanity, Ren finds himself in the middle of a new mystery as he stumbles upon an unknown entity within Mementos. Meanwhile, Akechi grows suspicious of Ren’s new acquaintance who bumps into them a few too many times for Akechi’s liking.
They decide to investigate these incidents, and everything goes downhill from there.
Six years after shooting Yaldabaoth in the head, Amamiya Ren takes down another Palace, struggles with his need to save everyone, and manages to have a heart-to-heart with the person who tried to shoot him in the head.
