Summary
Everything seemed to be over for Goro Akechi. The life he lived, the fame he enjoyed, gone in the face of defeat and the sins and murders he committed, born from his lies and hate and brought about by a life of being rejected, friendless, and used as a plaything by his own father and a malevolent god.
But fate has given him a second chance, and now he finds himself in the realm of the forgotten, Gensokyo, where his crimes and past are unknown. Now, as he attempts to reinvent himself he must confront the troubles of his new friends and a force which threatens to drown humans and youkai alike in their worst instincts.

The year is 2008, in 2006 the Great Hakurei barrier disappeared out of nowhere and Gensokyo had to face the outside world after centuries of isolation, so far the result of it has only been beneficial to Gensokyo’s economy and cultural exchange as many associations including religious ones like the Myouren Temple started investing into the outside world economy and its stock market, however, we all know what happened in 2008, The Great Stock Market crash impacted the whole global economy sending millions of people into dire financial situations.
This story follows Ichirin Kumoi as on the dawn of the crisis discovers that all of the Myouren Temple funds which have been invested in the stock market have crashed and now the temple is left with no funds to sustain itself, she must go on a quest to find the culprit behind the market crash and save the stocks before Byakuren finds out!

One of my favorite things about the Touhou Project is the sheer creative freedom it offers for fans, every aspect of the world and characters has many factors up to interpretation, to the point where every fan has a slightly different idea of how 'Touhou' works. resulting in a personal Gensokyo of sorts.
